Ultrafast optics

Standard Mirrors for ultrafast applications

Standard laser line mirrors for long pulses exhibits small operating bandwidths, meanwhile standard broadband mirrors induce phase distortion and are not suitable for femtosecond laser pulses with broad spectrum, for example Ti:Sa laser system.

Optida offers mirrors, based on a quarter wavelength dielectric layer stack to provide reflectance up to 99.9% and near to zero group delay dispersion (GDD) in a high reflection wavelength range, which depends on central mirror wavelength, an angle of incidence and light polarization. Our current state of technology allows achieving large mirror spectral bandwidths, suitable for manipulating ultrashort pulses with minimum absorption and scattering losses. Because of low GDD values, these mirrors don‘t generate phase distortion or pulse broadening, thus making them ideal tool for femtosecond applications.

              Special features:

  • High reflectivity of the mirrors 99.7% < R < 99.9%
  • Low scattering and absorption losses
  • Spectral tolerance 1% of central wavelength
  • Central mirror wavelength from UV to NIR
