Single Wavelength AR coatings (or V-coatings) consist of a pair of high and low refractive index dielectric layers and are designed to use with narrowband light beams. Depending on requirements reflection could be reduced down to <0.1% in a narrow spectral range around target wavelength at normal incidence and down to <0.5% at AOI=45⁰ incidence angle.

 

V-coatings are the perfect solution for various laser applications, where resistance to intensive laser radiation is important and minimum possible reflection loses should be achieved at specific wavelength.
