Such coatings are used for beam splitting into reflected and transmitted beam at various ratios R/T – 30% / 70%, 50% / 50%, 70% / 30% and others. They can also be optimized for single, dual, or several wavelengths. Broadband partial reflection coatings can split beam in broader spectral region like 400-700 nm, 700-1200 nm etc. In case angles of incident are not zero PR coatings also can be optimized for S, P or average polarizations.
