Optida Co Ltd was established in 1997 and is the largest optical coating company in Lithuania. Since the beginning we were accumulating valuable coating production experience, expanding human, hardware resources, range and quality of our optical coatings. Company is continuously developing and manufacturing broad range of optical components as well as custom coatings suitable for various laser systems and optical devices. The main products are dichroic beamsplitters, polarizers, polarizing beam cubes, dielectric mirrors, antireflective coatings, precision interference filters, metal mirrors, etc.
"Optida" has close collaboration with Lithuanian applied researh institutions like Department of Optical Coatings at Institute of Physics, Laser Research Center at Vilnius University and Lithuanian laser companies, which together belong to Laser and Light Science and Technology Association (www.ltoptics.org). |

In 2003-2006 "Optida" together with "Ekspla", Laser Research Center at Vilnius University, Institute of Physics and Institute of Chemistry has take a part in National Grant from Science and Education Foundation of Lithuania: “Development of the Technologies for Optical Coatings Using Advanced Deposition Processes” (SOPTDANGOS). The project objectives was: Improvement of the quality of optical coatings to level, which can meet current and future demands of laser and related technologies by consolidation of the technical and intellectual possibilities of Lithuanian institutions. Development of technologies for high laser-induced damage threshold and high spectral stability coatings using advanced deposition processes based on the ion-assisted deposition and ion beam sputtering.
In 2005-2007 four Lithuanian enterprises of photonics “Ekspla” UAB, “Light Conversion” UAB MGF, “Optida” UAB, “Standa” UAB have successfully accomplished the Research and Technological Development Project “Lasers for microprocessing and diagnostics” supported by EU Structural Funds. Partners of project have created new type of lasers meeting the requirements raised for industrial application. The creating of such lasers is restricted by the limited resistance of laser components to the intensive radiation of short pulses. Therefore part of the research in this project is directed towards the development of crystals’ growing, preparation and optical coatings. “Optida” – the main producer of optical coatings in Lithuania was invited for the fulfilment of these tasks.
In 2007 the company has participated in project targeted to small and medium-sized companies “Gazelle 2007” and was accredited as one of the most successful and the most progressing companies in Lithuania.
